What is Maternal Child Adolescent Health?
MCAH is made up of a variety of programs designed to improve and promote the health and wellness of women of reproductive age, infants, children, adolescents, and their families.

For Pregnant & Parenting Mothers

Antenatal & Postnatal Nurse Visits: We visit pregnant women & new mothers in their homes to provide support during a time of incredible change. We answer health questions, listen to concerns, help with breastfeeding, help to schedule OB appointments, provide birth control counseling, aid in transportation to medical appointments & connect mothers to community resources!

If you are a first time mom, check out our Nurse-Family Partnership Program!

Welcome Every Baby: In Partnership with First 5 and Sutter Coast Hospital, nurses from public health visit mothers in the hospital & welcome newborns with a resource kit. We connect with mothers after they deliver, then by telephone after they are discharged to ask how mothers & new babies are settling in, answer questions & provide nurse visits to the home to weigh & measure new babies.
