Expanding Youth Horizons Program

Ages 16 to 18

Who we are:

Expanding Youth Horizons (EYH) is a program that provides services, trainings and activities to assist youths between the ages of 16 and 18 who are receiving CalWORKs benefits through Del Norte Department of Health & Human Services.

What we do:

  • Monthly meetings for classes, workshops and guest speakers
  • Information in areas of Vocational and/or Educational opportunities.
  • Life and Social Skills
  • Career planning and Job search
  • Networking and meeting new people
  • Help youth to obtain an original Birth certificate, Social Security card and picture ID/Driver's License.

If you participate:

  • Cash incentive for attending monthly meetings
  • Chance to take home topic inspired gifts
  • Get paid to help out and participate in local events
  • High School graduation incentives
