The Del Norte County, Department of Health and Human Services – Mental Health Branch has developed a Compliance Program to ensure our commitment to following the rules, regulations, and laws related to the delivery of mental healthcare services of our agency. We are committed to the ethical and professional delivery of services in all aspects of our operations.

The Compliance Program is committed to:

• Operating if accordance to all rules, regulations, and laws that govern the delivery of our services.
• Preventing, detecting, and correcting any instance of fraud, waste or abuse.
• Protecting and maintaining our client’s health information.
• Supporting our Department’s mission statement, vision statement, and core values.

Reporting Violations of Fraud, Waste and Abuse

If you are aware of or suspect violations of mental health care laws, or if you are aware or suspect fraud, waste, or abuse in the Del Norte County Mental Health Branch healthcare system you can report it in the following ways:

• You can report through your established supervisory reporting structure
• You can report to the Mental Health Branch Compliance Officer
• You can report through the anonymous toll-free compliance hotline at 844-464-0879
• You can email the compliance officer at mh-complianceofficer@co.del-norte.ca.us
