Pay your taxes online now


2026/27 Unsecured Property Taxes are now due.  Unsecured Personal Property taxes are for Business Assessments, Personal Property, Pleasure Boats, Mining Claims, Aircrafts and Possessory Interests. Unsecured taxes are due by August 31, 2026. These taxes are a lien against the assessee, not against real estate. The assessed owner as of January 1, 2026, is responsible for paying these bills, even if they sell or otherwise dispose of the property after January 1, 2026. PSA for Smoke Testing


SEWER "PARTY" SMOKE TESTING IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN JULY 13, 2026 AND WILL CONTINUE FOR ABOUT A MONTH IN THE AREA NORTH OF THE CRESCENT CITY LIMITS 

(e.g., El Dorado Street, Harding Avenue, Inyo Street, Northcrest Drive, Pacific Avenue, Pebble Beach Drive, Washington Boulevard).

Monthly Payments Now Available for Property Taxes


Del Norte County is partnering with Easy Smart Pay, which provides the option for property owners to make monthly payments on property taxes online. For more information and to set up your own monthly payments, please visit: https://easysmartpay.net/del-norte-ca

Strategic Plan


The Del Norte County Board of Supervisors has adopted an organizational Strategic Plan for FY 24/25 that establishes the Board's Vision, Mission, and Values as well as Focus Areas and Goals for the County over the coming year. The Plan includes measurable Action Items in order to address the Goals included in the Plan. This Plan is a "living" document that is being updated in real time as progress is being made. Adopt or Foster


If you are interested in adopting or fostering a dog, or wish to have a meet-and-greet with one of our animals, please complete and return to us the Adoption/Foster Application Form, pictures of the common areas of the home where the animal will be staying, and pictures of the yard and fence if you have one. Once your application has been approved we can setup an appointment for you to meet with the dog. More information is available on our Adopt or Foster webpage.

Adopt-A-Road Program


Do you want to help keep your roadsides clean and attractive? 

You can by participating in the Del Norte County Adopt-A-Road, a program that allows for private assistance with litter removal along County maintained roads. Your business or community group can help keep roads litter-free by "adopting" a minimum of 1 mile of County maintained road for a two-year period. Please see the County Adopt-A-Road Program Guide for full details.
