The County Administrative Office is the administrative arm of the Board of Supervisors. The County Administrative Office recommends and facilitates the implementation of policies for the Board of Supervisors, analyzes issues and makes recommendations to the Board regarding the administration and operation of County departments and monitors the use of financial and human resources.
The Administrative Office is also responsible for providing direction and supervision of the following functions:
The primary functions of the Human Resources Division of the Administration Department includes recruitment, classification and benefits administration. The Division is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and classification of employees for Del Norte County. The Division administers the full range of benefit programs from hire through retirement for employees, their families, and retirees.
The primary focus of the Recreation Division of the Administration Department is to enrich individuals, families and the community through the provision of services, facilities, and programs that improve the quality of life in Del Norte County.
The mission of the Del Norte County Office of Emergency Services is to leverage community partnerships and available resources to protect and preserve life, environment, property, culture, and economy in the face of all-hazards; to prevent and alleviate human suffering and to sustain the unique character of Del Norte County for future generations.
