Healthy Families Del Norte

Healthy Families Del Norte County is an evidence-based home visiting program, accredited by Healthy Families America (HFA). It is a partnership between Del Norte County Public Health and First 5 Del Norte. We provide voluntary, free services starting during pregnancy or the first few months of a baby's life. Our family support specialists support and empower parents and offer partner with caregivers to help the children in their lives thrive.

Healthy Families meets parents where they are at, offering them lots of encouragement, someone who cares about their whole family, someone they can rely on in hard moments, and someone who can help them build a strong, nurturing relationship with their children.

Eligible Families must:

  • Be Del Norte County residents
  • Be pregnant or have an infant under 3 months
  • Willing to participate (self-referrals are welcome!)
