Adoption and Foster Process
If you are interested in adopting or fostering a dog, or wish to have a meet-and-greet with one of our animals, please complete and return to us the Adoption/Foster Application (form provided below) as well as pictures of the common areas of the home where the animal will be staying and the yard and fence if you have one. Once your application has been approved we can setup an appointment for you to meet with the dog.
If you are applying to foster, please also sign and return the Foster Care Agreement/Waiver. Fosters have the opportunity to adopt the dog they are fostering before other interested parties but they must make the dog available to be shown by appointment at the shelter until the dog has been formally adopted. Necessary veterinary care will be paid for by the shelter but all vet visits must be approved in advance. Food can also be provided for foster animals.
If you decide that the dog is a good fit for your home, the adoption fee is $75.00 and it includes the county licensing for the year as well as a certificate for a free well-being exam that can be redeemed within one week at any of the local vets. All of our dogs come fixed and have a current rabies vaccination.
