Perinatal Wellness


It is not uncommon to experience mood changes after your baby is born, even if this is not your first child. About 80% of mothers experience some anxiety or sadness. You might also feel loneliness, hopelessness, worry, irritability, or insomnia. Sometimes, these feelings last for longer than two weeks. This happens often & you are not alone!

What can you do to help yourself?
  • Take breaks
  • Get rest when your baby sleeps
  • Make time for yourself every day
  • Find other new mothers to connect with
Don't be afraid to ask friends or family for help with:
  • Housekeeping
  • Grocery shopping
  • Cooking
  • Taking care of other children
